The calendering includes the industrial processing of finish papers, vinyl leaves, Alkorcell® and CPL; laminates and customized melamine surfaces through digital printing are also produced internally.
We cover any type of wood-based substrate (chipboard, also of poplar, HDF, MDF, plywood / poplar or birch plywood) and mineral (vermiculite, magnesium oxide, etc.), on request also in fireproof or waterproof version.
We internally produce the laminates in digital printing, fully customizable, in order to match perfectly with our melamine surfaces.
In 2016 we introduced VittEr®, the new generation compact laminate. VittEr® can be customized with any digital printing, core color and surface finishes. It is a versatile material without formaldehyde emissions, therefore not only ecological but also suitable for contact with food. VittEr® has been enhanced with antibacterial properties. VittEr® has introduced important changes not only in the design but also in the functionality of the bathroom and kitchen tops, shower walls and tables. It is resistant to water, heat and scratch.
An entire production area, successfully launched in 2017, is dedicated to the production of complete furniture sets, from doors to special curved components. This strategic upgrade in supplies to our Italian and international customers makes us one of the European companies with the most complete range of products in the quality panel sector.
We offer our collaboration to designers and architects for the realization of customized projects for the furnishing of campers and caravans, hotels and yachts and wide applications in the contract. We are a world of possibilities.
Filippi 1971 is able to offer a very wide range of laminated panels, as the result of the numerous possible combinations between various types of surface materials, different panels and the available technologies.
The activity of the Filippi family was born as an individual company of Ernesto in the production of solid wood semi-finished products for the furniture sector, while curtain rings are made from recycled material.
The company is experiencing a strong phase of international expansion thanks to the Ernesto’s support given by his sons Gino and Salvatore who are increasingly involved in customer management and the search for new markets.
Driven by changes in the markets, to diversify their production and convert the traditional processing of semi-finished wooden products, the brothers Salvatore and Gino, together with his son Guido, set up a department dedicated to the lamination of plywood panels mainly for the camper-caravan sector.
For the first time Filippi appears at international fairs of global importance, a key to new markets and the beginning of a stimulating growth.
Flexibility and professionalism allow the company to progressively establish itself globally thanks to internationalization initiatives led by Francesca Filippi, Gino’s eldest daughter.
To support growth continuous investments are made in human resources, technology and production spaces, expanding the range of products available on a panel basis.
The collaboration with the Italian entrepreneur Giorgio Levoni gives further impetus to the business and marks the beginning of a new development phase of Filippi 1971, which already exports to over 20 countries in the world.
The melamine department is inaugurated and digital printing started; an entire area dedicated to carpentry is created and VittEr® is developed, the latest generation of compact laminates. A wide range of new markets and sectors is reached, including residential and contract furniture, boating and gaming tables.
In 2019 our company is enriched by the strategic figure of Roberto, Salvatore’s eldest son.
